Everyone Is Talking About...HD Eyebrows.

Not Megan Fox
Step away from the HD photographs of Megan Fox apparently we can look that striking, the word on the street its all about the eyebrows. I suppose girls like me have driven the demand for this sort of thing, someone who brings in a picture to the beauticians and asks to look like 'that' girl because her eyebrows are fab.

For years we have tried to pluck and wax those unnecessary hairs of our brows and one day said hey big eyebrows are sexy and just then we copped! They really are. Women are becoming more and more powerful and I guess just like men we want to show of our power through these dark and thick eyebrows.
Girls start this mad phase of plucking and waxing their eyebrows from a very early age now, what no one tells us is that the older we get the harder it is to grow them back into shapes that we desire. Waxing also may cause saggy skin when we are old ladies... We definitely dont want that and lets be honest with ourselves we do want to look like the great icons with huge brows. We are all about the dark and bushy!

Certain trends have come in for tattooing of the eyebrows, dont be fooled no one envies those girls. They dont look good and men find it freaky. Also no one mentions that you still need to pluck them after they are tattooed on. No thanks. What happened to the 'natural look', I know I laughed too when I said that... Natural look takes just as much effort as the fake look.

So what are HD eyebrows and why should we get them done?

Its a seven step procedure... I know sounds daunting. It takes about an hour and cost around 30 euros. HD eyebrows are basically reshaping your eyebrows, they focus on redesigning them and making them look thinker. This involves tinting, waxing, threading and some plucking of the brows. In short they are gonna look at you and decide what kind of eyebrows suit your structure and try and make that happen. Usually for people who have very little eyebrows it can take up to 3 sessions to perfect the eyebrows but apparently the more you go the better they will look, but of course they will tell you that.

Wanna give them a go yourself.. Eh we thought so. There are a lot of talented ladies on the world of YouTube who can help but here is what your gonna need.
1. An eyebrow pencil

There are so many to choose from it will melt your brain standing around trying to pick a decant one, I use MAC Eye Brow Pencil.
I mean everyone constantly goes on about how great MAC is... This however is genius. Its so soft and easy to use, you just draw the shape around your excising brows and make a complete new one (even if there are no hairs there).

It should be around 20 euro but definitely worth the investment it does wonders on a night out.

2. Brown Eyeshadow

Any brown eyeshadow that matches your tone will do, just make sure its stands out but not too much!
This eyebrow kit is genius. I have had mine for nearly 2 years now and use it every single day. One size is wax and the other shadow so you can apply the wax to keep your eyebrows in place, and dont worry this will not make them look greasy or rotten looking, it works.

I would recommend one of these as en investment its a whole of 35 euro in Benefit but there are similar ones in Urban Decay and other brands so shop around...

3. Eye brush, preferably angle one (I most of the time you any old yoke if I am in a rush)

This bad boy is TopShops creation, love being able to use one brush for several jobs, this is two brushes...
The angled brush is perfect for eyebrows, allows you to fill them in more evenly.

4. Concealer is very much just as important as any other thing on this list to apply for underneath the eyes for highlighting of the arches of the brows.

Tada.

Found this great tutorial showing just that...

A letter to Santa

There are so  many nice things fashion and beauty wise that I would love to have for Christmas, and if I was a millionaire I would be purchasing myself but maybe Santa will hear me ;)

Here is a few, only a few things I would like to see under my tree;

River Island Black Studded Leather Look Waterfall Jacket €86
I have been looking for a leather jacket everywhere and I am kicking myself for not buying the one I saw in Pamela Scott for €60, I definitely wouldn't mind this jacket because its amazeball and wouldn't mind buying myself if I cant get the other one I spotted. It would defiantly be a wardrobe staple :)

Topshop Knitted Stud Shoulder Jumper €51
How cute is this jumper seriously? I love knitwear so I defiantly heart this.

Topshop Crystal Embellished Play Suit €110
This would be a major splurge but its just so so gorgeous and glitzy.

River Island Dark Red Peep Toe Platform Shoes €73
How would I walk in these you ask? Who knows but you would be looking hot in them anyways sore feet or not ;).

YvesStLaurent Rouge Volupte Perle Lipstick in Silky Sensual €27.90
I really need to stop reading beauty blogs because this is where I find these obsessions with brands that I would never have known about, I have seen so many good words about these lippies, the packaging alone would get me but they would have to be amazing for the price. This color just looks so girly and lovely.

Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Charisma €15.20
Another brand which I have been reading about in various blogs and also on Xpose they said this was the best nail varnish on the market, I'm not sure would I spend this much money on one nail varnish but it had to make a mention to Santa anyways.

River Island Coral Contrast Strap Messenger Bag €30
I am loving this bag and the color is gorgeous. I don't have any bags in this color and I just want want want it. ;)

Miss Selfridge Black Pearl Wrist Wear €15
I have been trying to get into wearing more jewellery so I just think this is a really nice set of bracelets that would go with every outfit.

I hope your reading this Santa ;)

Winter is Coming

Winter is upon us.. Even though hello it's Ireland it's always cold. Still, this time of year is when you have the excuse to sit by the fire, drink tea and watch films and not feel as bad ;)

I love Winter style, and let's be real my wardrobe was made for the cold days, and when we do have the odd Summer's day I haven't a clue what to be wearing! My wardrobe is full of knitwear, boots and cosy scarves. This is definitely the time of year to throw on your tights and your favorite dark lippy.

A girl can never have too many Winter essentials and here are some of my favorite picks out there and also some purchases I have made recently.

Forever 21 Heart Pattern Tights
I love wearing tights and especially in Winter, it's so much easier just to throw them on with a dress and its also a major plus because your going to be majorly warm! I really need to buy different styles of tights so this is why I picked these as a favorite because I don't have anything like them! €7,90.

Topshop Scarf
I love this color, it will look great in the Winter with a plain black coat to brighten it up! I have loads of scarves but I would love to add this one to my collection, €20.

Look at these cuties, I couldn't resist them when I saw them in Next. Yes they are penguins ;) I think they were €12, definitely worth it!

Topshop 'Wicked'

Topshop 'Nails in Panther'
Topshop have a really good range of makeup and nail varnishes, and I sometimes just go into the shop to see what new makeup they have. They are really affordable and they have a good range of colors for everyone. I haven't tried any of their lipsticks or nail varnishes, but these two are potential purchases for me especially for the Winter. Dark nails and dark lips are a must in the Winter. The lipsticks are €11 and Nail Varnishes are €6.50

Homeland Boxset

Nettle and Sweet Fennel

Winter Holidays are definitely a time to catch up on tv and new shows that you have missed. I am for sure going to be jumping on the Homeland bandwagon and going to watch Season 1. I love Twinings brand and especially this nettle and sweet fennel. Even though I would drink this anytime I think its especially good for the Winter months, it's meant to cleanse your system, I don't know about that but I just love it ;)

Dunnes Stores boots
I love boots, they can be worn with jeans, skirts, shorts and dresses. I saw these pair and instantly wanted them, they were only €19. They had them in black too but I think brown goes with everything! These are perfect for winter and are super cosy!

Yankee Candle 'Shea Butter'
This smells amazing, I was in the Yankee candle shop in Blanch and seriously was lost in there with all the smells and wanted to take home everything. The girl in the shop recommended this one, and I have been loving it. I'm not sure how to describe it only that its a relaxing smell if that makes sense ;) and not overpowering. It says its for stress relief, so hence the relaxing smell. Defiantly another Winter thing I love is smells, and I really need to get a Christmasy smell like cinnamon to make my room smell great ha!.

Happy Winter ;)

Wrap Me In A Jumper ☃

Brrrr... Has anybody felt the nippy coldness coming our way? I was standing outside waiting for a bus the other day and felt my nose go cold. Although there is still some crazy people out there wearing only a tiny t-shit I feel like I need to wrap myself in a big wooly jumper this upcoming winter.
I am loving big over sized jumpers, nice and snug.

I have chosen a few jumpers from this season that are snug and pretty at the same time... I matched them with a simple pair of jeans, to get the idea :)

1. Beige Star Print Jumper - River Island 42
The star prints on the jumper are very "POW".

2. Knitted Tweedy Lader Jumper - Topshop 50

3. Knitted Bush Mohair Jumper - Topshop 55
Topshop jumpers are pricey enough but they will most likely last you a few winters just choose the pattern wisely.

4. Leggings With False Pockets - Pull & Bear 17.99
They are like jeans without pockets, except the pockets dont bulge and the are not restraining as normal jeans. Thats winning right there! And did you manage to get a glimpse at the price? Ehh bargain.

5. Black Mixed Knit Jumper - River Island 45
The print id very 90s but we are so into that right now.

6. Sweater - H&M 39.95
This jumper is from the new Lana Del Rey Collection. (Check out the previous post about this collection http://everyprettydesire.blogspot.ie/2012/09/lana-del-rey-h-inspired-collection.html)

October Wish List

Its October already! Who would have thought... Here is my extended wish list for the month of October.

October Wish List 1

1. Black Boxy T-Shirt - River Island
Will probably go with everything in my wardrobe, classic item to own. Looks good with pretty much everything, there are two colours to choose from black and white so you cant go wrong. Around 20 euro.

2. Dame Embellished Slipper Shoes - Miss Selfridge
I am a big fan of pumps and this new trend of slipper shoes is right up my street! The jewels seem to be well fixed on the shoe but most likely will fall of after a lot of wears, still cant deny the beauty of the shoe :) Priced around 40 euro.

3. Purple Crown Stud Skull Earrings - River Island
The skull trend is coming back, I love these funky purple studs! Only 6 euro.

4. Moto Blue Soft Super Skinny Jeans - Topshop
You cant deny how nice these jeans feel on, just like the name describes them they are super soft! They have elastic in them so you can freely wear these bad boys to dinner and eat as much as you want knowing the button will still close. Priced at around 45 euro.

5. Abstract Floral Case - Forever 21
I have started adding phone cover cases to the outfits and why not (check out previous post about iPhone covers fashion http://everyprettydesire.blogspot.ie/2012/09/playing-iphone-dress-up.html)
I am into everything that this cover is about abstract good, floral good, only 7,90 gooooooooood.

6. Tall Structured Blazer - Topshop
I am a sucker for blazers, I definitely need to move somewhere where I could wear these all year round. The colour is gorgeous! Pricey though 80 beans.

7. Animal Print Gel Nail Art - Topshop
I hear these are the business, mad about the print! Would definitely spice up any outfit and aparently lasts 2-4 weeks (presumably varying on what your activities consist of, if your sitting around opening cans all day could only last you 2 days) Pricey 8 euro...

The second past of the wish list is way more funky... Here we go!

October Wish List 2

1. Fake Fur Jacket - H&M
I am obsessed with fake fur.. jackets, bags, you name it! This beige jacket is the bizz. Want want want. Enough said. Also this wont brake the bank with the price of 49.95.

2. Cashmere Scarf - H&M
This scarf is so pretty and the colour is so rich. I have never owned a cashmere scarf before but I hear it keeps people warm in the winter, this one however is PRICEY for H&M that is. 39.95, for a scarf...Hmm maybe I'll just wait for Santa.

3. Heart Earmuffs - Topshop
I will admit I have not owned a pear since 2009 but I am ready to cover my ears this winter and these lovely earmuffs will do the trick! 17 euro.

4. Premium Painted Leather Skirt - Topshop
Stop the lights. This is real leather and the print is wicked. (And I use that in an english slang kind of way) Topshop always manages to bring out these one of a kind pieces once in a while and this is definitely one of them. Very expensive but for those one of a kind pieces its an investment, right? Yeah I am trying to convince myself that also... 110 actual paper money!

5. Gold Tone Flying Pig - River Island
Yeah and pigs fly. Priced at 9 euro.

6. Green Studded Collar Shirt - River Island
These are everywhere... Urban Outfitters, Pennies, New Looks... I just loved the green colour!! You can never have too many shirts. 30 euro.

Shoes Lover - Black Obsession

Before I went on my holidays to Prague in July my friend came over to help me pick what night time outfits to bring and heels. As she was looking at my shoes she said 'God how many black pairs of shoes do you have'. Then it was only weeks after when I was clearing out my wardrobes that I noticed, "Yes I do have a lot of black heels". I decided to make a post including my 3 favorite pairs, and some outfits that I have worn them with. I'm not too sure of the exact prices but most heels in New Look are €30 and the wedges from Dunnes Stores were around €20-25.

New Look Heels

New Look Boots

Dunnes Stores Wedges

All three shoes mentioned above are my all time favorites and have probably been worn for the majority of my nights out. The heels from New Look I thought were unique and a style I didn't see too much of. The boots from New Look also were a love of mine when I saw one of my friends wearing them and I said I needed to have a pair. The wedges are my favorite from the three, an absolute steal from Dunnes Stores and are so comfortable.

Here are some looks I have teamed the shoes with;
Topshop Black Dress (Sale)

River Island Black Playsuit

River Island Black Silky Top and River Island Dark Green  Jeggings/Jeans

Topshop Flowery Dress (Sale)

River Island Black Jegging/Jeans and Penneys Floral Shirt

I love all of these looks are simple and go with all of the above stated shoes.
I'm not too sure of all of the prices, the Topshop dresses were bought in a sale. The River Island jeggings/jeans I think were about €30, the silk top was around €22 and the shirt from Penneys was €13.

The Moustache Trend - 'Tash On

Moustache is defined as facial hair grown on the upper lip.

So where did this trend start? Who cares! I love it. Girls wearing accessories and apparel hailing the almighty moustache...

The trend started with hipsters and the way of mocking them, but has become silly and fun. There is so much merchandise out there with the mustache print its not even funny, it has cough on like wildfire.. From nail stickers to stationery.
Movember is an anual month long event which involves growing a mustache for charity... It came to Ireland in 2007 and has become even more popular every year. Movember madness has spread this trend even further, with charity events and organizers like the 'Stache Bash by the American Mustache Institute!

The moustache trend is bringing smiles and fun everywhere you bring one. If you dont have a fakey' to bring with you the Fingerstache will do, just draw a moustache on your finger and your ready to go! There is also the option of the Stache On A Stick, which is pretty self explanatory, its a moustache on a stick.
For my 22nd Birthday I got the mustache straws which where pretty epic!

If your not on the trend I suggest get on it.. Heres some of my favorite merchandise. Moustache your life.

1. Moustache Shopper - Topshop
A mustache totes bag. Totes want. Priced at around 12 euros.

2. Miso Moustache Lace Sleeved T-Shirt - Republic
Priced around 20 euros.

3. Moustache Print Ankle Socks - Forever 21
One of the more random mustache print items I have seen. Love these socks. Priced at 1,60.

4. Black Moustache Stud Earrings - River Island
Priced at 3 euros, loving the new cheaper River Island accessory range.

5. Moustache Straws - Urban Outfitters
Tash-tastic mustaches for parties and boring evenings. Yet still kinda pricey for straws, 8 euro.

6. Moustache Mug - Urban Outfitters
Putting a stach on your coffee each day, 12 euro.

7. Emergency Moustaches - River Island
For all emergencies, hiding from exes etc. Around 7 euro.

Arthurs Day Special Part 2

This is an another option to Arthurs Days outfit, the night time option. For clubbing and other bigger night time venues.

1. Cream Boat Neck Blouse - Miss Selfridge
White blouses can be formal and casual. I love the boat neck, looks so good with the higher bow... Hair  pulled back, up in a bun... You get the picture! Priced at 21 euros on sale..

2. Ultra Moisturizing Lip Paint (lp156) - Barry M
So glad that Barry M cough up with the trend and released darker shades! With moisturizing cocoa butter so it doesn't dry out your lips. They usually are around 5 euro, but sometimes Boots do 3 for 2 and thats a reason to get 3 different shades ;)

3. Lacquered Tribal Ring - Forever 21
The honest truth is that it will probably make your finger green after washing your hands a couple of times, or if you have very sweaty hands. Yeah but isn't it pretty.. Priced at 3,90.

4. Black Stud Cages Sandals - River Island
River can do no wrong regarding shoes. These shoes will probably last you more then one night out in the town.. They are gorgeous and look even better in real life. Pricey but gorgeous 110 euros.

5.  Petites Black Skater Skirt - Miss Selfridge
This skater skirt is waist banded and with an elastic band, great material and could be changed from day to evening wear. You could wear it with pumps or high heels it would still look good. Priced at around 20 euro.

6. Lips In Legend By Louise Gray (Bright Pink) - Topshop
"Velvet finish lipstick to smooth moisturise and nourish lips.Velvet finish lipstick to smooth moisturise and nourish lips."
Yes, yes they would tell you that.. But the reason I chose another lipstick colour for the outfit was because it actually can accompany several colour palettes! Priced at around 12 euros, saying that its nearly as much as MAC lipsticks so yano...

Arthurs Day Special

Arthurs Day refers to series of music events to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Arthur Guinness organized in 2009.
Guinness drinkers are expected to raise a glass of the black stuff in memory of Arthur Guinness at 17.59, this being a reference to 1759, the year Guinness was established.

This year Arthurs Day is going to be hopping on the 27th of September. The music line up looks UNREAL, spread across Ireland in 500 locations! So the only thought in my head this week is what to wear, different locations means different outfits. I put together a day time and night time option for this celebration. (Arthurs Day Special 1 & 2)

1. Studded Biker Jacket - Topshop
No one should be without a leather jacket, its so versatile and goes with everything! Topshop is pricey but sometimes its better to invest in a product with some quality, specially if you are going to wear it out as well as casual. Last year I purchased a fake leather jacket, which was gorgeous but when I wanted to wash it I realized I could wash it or dry clean it. Always check the label. Priced at 80 euro.

2. Crackling Topcoat In Black Dynamite - Topshop
Cant remember when this crackling nail varnish came into trend but I have loved it ever since! It makes your nails look that much more glam... This colour is amaze priced at around 7 euro.

3. Burnished Stud Waist Belt - Forever 21
Sometime high waisted shorts need a little something and a belt really dresses them up. Once again Forever 21 never fails for accessories and you can never have to many belts, only 4,90.

4. Rhinestone Cross Earrings - Forever 21
These cross earrings are very rock chick and perfect for this kind of event I might add! Studs tend to fall out of cheaper accessories so this needs to taken into consideration, but when they cost 3,90 its not that devastating when you need to throw them out.

5. Grey Star Studded Boots - River Island
Boots. Ah who doesn't love a nice pair of boots. Kesha is so right when she sings about Boots & Boys. Sometimes it seems like really important factors in life. Unlike boys these boots will probably never leave you or disappoint. Shorts, skirts, dresser or whatever they are the perfect match. Pricey but meh they are beautiful, priced at 95 euro.

6. Aztec Crossed Top - Topshop
Loving maroon shades right now! A semi cropped top, has a bohemian feel to it. Goes perfectly with the shorts I might add. Only 15 euros in Topshop... Just saying.

7. Mid Wash Embellished Shorts - Miss Selfridge
These high waisted shorts made pretty with the "mid wash" look and the copper studs.. Once again they could fall of and when buying definitely need to be looked at to see whether they are all there and how loose they are. Priced at around 50 euro, probably could find a cheaper pair and pimp them out yourself, but they are cheaper then Vintage Clothing.
